tracks on there there’s a cover version of Dark Distant Spaces’ “Fashion” the late 80ies hit that made Dark Distant Spaces under the name “NO NAME” (Label ZYX
Records) famous in many coutries worldwide back then. This track is probably one of the most “compiled” tracks in the bands history (countless compilations on various labels worldwide)
and now there’s even a great cover done by Celluloide. This should definetly go on your shopping list. Information can be found here.

!NTELLIGENT COMMUNICATIONS 10th anniversary release!
Timeframe for this release will be later this year. The recording sessions have started and some first songs have been pre-produced already:
DDS - “A Smile”; Das Kombinat - “Neon”, codename | sugar - “Loser” + more, AFO - “The Stars” + more..... But that’s not nearly all since
there’s also some great mixes by DJ RAM and Celluloide to be heard on this CD. Please stay tuned for further details. Members of the DJ pool will (as always) be able to get their ears to parts of this stuff way earlier than anyone else to promote the tracks and to provide us valuable feedback.

AFO have been choosen to represent !NTELLIGENT COMMUNICATIONS on the forthcoming Modern Entertainment release “Electric Dreams” which is due to appear early autumn this year. A newly remastered version of AFO’s “the receiver” can be heard on this release.

new PCs. The studio outboard will also be renewed to the current state of the art technology and thereby out of order only for some weeks - if everything goes well.....

Since we get a lot of questions concerning the data part of the CD-album Das Kombinat “lomographic” which is in fact a CD-Extra
here’s how to use the interactive content on contemporary PC operating systems: Always install the version of Quicktime that’s on the CD since the mTropolis player requires this version
even if you have a more up to date QT version installed. Usually both versions will live together without any issues and you can use the interactive part of “lomographic” from then on.
By the way - this is not required on contemporary Macintosh operating systems.

You expected a new Dark Distant Spaces album in July? - Wrong!! - The band changed their mind and in collaboration with David Lin (Synthphony Records) they are releasing their 9-track ‘Fashion re-worked’ EP on August, 21. This CD includes three previously unreleased tracks and five versions of ‘Fashion’, a track the band originally recorded in 1989 for ZYX Records under the project name ‘no name’. Check out their new masterpiece and download excerpts from three songs as mp3-samples now! Note that none of these songs will be on the forthcoming album.

OK - it has been quiet for a while but now they’re back! Dark Distant Spaces just contributed to Net-Hit.com’s ‘Cover Me Vol. 1’ compilation. Although ‘A Question Of Lust’ is not a new song it is one of the highlights of this cd which includes tracks from ‘Lights of Euphoria’and Jean-Luc de Meyer’s ‘C Project’.

Bad news for all Dark Distant Spaces fans. The release date of their forthcoming album has been postponed to July 2000 due to a loss of data. Because the band wants to remix some of theit earlier songs, they now have to do them from scratch. But be assured this new release will be another fine piece of electro-pop worth waiting for!
